Terms and Conditions

Meridian is a voice-first task capture app. It records your voice notes, transcribes them, and uses AI to extract structured tasks that sync across your devices. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Notify us at hello@meridiantasks.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Meridian offers paid subscriptions at $14.99 per month or $129 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Prices may vary by region and may change with notice.

On iOS and macOS, subscriptions are purchased through your Apple ID and billed by Apple. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.

Free trials convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial ends.

If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods except where required by law.

You retain full ownership of the voice recordings, transcripts, tasks, and any other content you create in Meridian (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service, including transcription and AI task extraction as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store or transmit unlawful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by circumventing usage limits or subscription gating
• Use automated means to access the Service outside of its intended interfaces

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Meridian uses automated transcription and AI models to convert your voice notes into text and tasks. This output may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. You are responsible for reviewing tasks and transcripts before relying on them. The Service is a productivity tool and should not be relied on as the sole record of critical commitments, deadlines, or obligations.

The Service depends on third-party providers, including those listed in our Privacy Policy, for hosting, transcription, AI processing, sign-in, and payments. We are not responsible for interruptions or issues caused by these providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to restore the Service promptly.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the Meridian name and logo, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as intended.

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that transcription and task extraction will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app settings or by emailing hello@meridiantasks.ai. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at meridiantasks.ai/terms with a revised date, and where changes are material we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections available under the laws of your country of residence.
